3D-printed collectibles, made to order. Help Center

Every figure in our shop begins life not on a shelf, but as a file — and ends as a one-of-a-kind object made just for you. If you have ever wondered what actually happens between clicking “order” and opening the box, here is the journey of a 3D-printed collectible.

Step 1: The digital model

Everything starts with a 3D model — a detailed digital sculpture that defines every curve, scale, and segment of the figure. For articulated toys, the model also includes the clever print-in-place joints that let the finished piece flex. A good model is the difference between a toy that moves like silk and one that does not move at all.

Step 2: Slicing

Before printing, the model goes through “slicing” software, which cuts it into hundreds of ultra-thin horizontal layers and plans the exact path the printer will follow. This is where we set the layer height, wall thickness, and infill — the hidden engineering that makes a figure both detailed and strong. A single dragon can involve thousands of individual moves.

Step 3: Printing, layer by layer

The printer heats PLA filament — a plant-based plastic — and deposits it layer by layer, each one a fraction of a millimeter thick. Depending on the size and complexity, a figure can take several hours to print. Articulated toys are printed in one go: body, joints, and all. Watching a flexi dragon emerge, segment by segment, never gets old.

Step 4: Cooling and quality check

Once the print finishes, the figure cools on the build plate, then comes off for inspection. We check that every joint moves freely, the details are crisp, and the colors are right. If a print does not meet the bar, it does not ship — it goes back into the queue.

Step 5: Packing and shipping

Approved figures are carefully packed and sent on their way. Because everything is printed to order, there is no warehouse full of aging stock — your figure was made for you, often just days before it ships.

Why made-to-order matters

Traditional manufacturing needs huge production runs to be economical, which is why store shelves carry the same handful of designs. 3D printing flips that: we can offer hundreds of designs in dozens of colors without guessing what will sell. You get more choice, less waste, and a figure that was literally created for your order.
